Hi there— I'm Shannon, and I want to take your photo

Originally from Southeastern Mass, I moved out to Wyoming after college to cut my teeth at a daily newspaper. After two and a half glorious years out West, I moved back home and worked at Boston University for almost five years, while simultaneously earning a master’s in Advertising from BU’s Metropolitan College. When not taking photos, you can find me outdoors (hiking, running, taking very long walks) or wandering through the halls of the MFA.

At the end of the day, I’m a storyteller (Cheesy, I know! Bear with me! ). I love good stories, of all shapes and sizes, and shoot a variety of different types of work as a result. I take pride in making images that are high-quality and stylistically composed, but, most importantly, feel like you—photos that make you stop and go, That’s me. That’s us. That’s who we are.

Having your photo taken can be a vulnerable, stressful event, and so I aim to provide a worry-free, easy experience for all my clients. I tend to provide some minimal direction, and then step back and wait for the magical moments unfold. The result is candid, documentary-style imagery to treasure for years to come.

If you’d like to chat more about working together, please fill out the form below; I look forward to hearing from you, and will be in touch shortly with more information regarding process & pricing.
