BU Gastronomy Student Spotlight: Marie-Louise Friedland 

Boston University Metropolitan College Master’s in Gastronomy student Marie-Louise Friedland is also a sommelier and lead educator at Rebel Rebel, a Somerville, Massachusetts-based natural wine bar. 

Every Thursday, she teaches wine classes at Wild Child, the company’s adjacent multipurpose community space.

12th Annual City of Boston Scholar Recognition Event

Boston University’s City of Boston program empowers City of Boston employees to take graduate courses towards a Boston University degree or certificate at no cost, so long as the subject of study is related to their area of work.

Alongside Mayor Michelle Wu, BU MET recently recognized 28 students for their commitment to ongoing learning and progressive success during its 12th Annual City of Boston Scholar Recognition Event.

After analyzing more than 22,000 Tweets that advanced misleading climate information, Dr. Irena Vodenska and her team identified 60 different accounts that were funded and backed by an oil titan.
